ParticipantHi,
Please take a look at the screencast below; I am trying to achieve the following:
– Automatically select the post types I have specified in search result settings (currently I have pages, posts and FAQ selected);
– Remove scroll bar and border from search results (I could probably remove the border with CSS but I wanted to check if there is an option for this that I have missed?)SC: http://www.screencast.com/users/Vanstone/folders/Default/media/f888a723-482a-4045-b65f-cdefe0c35510
Thanks in advance,
Best Regards,

KeymasterHi!
Thank you for the proper details, it helps me a lot!
1. Post types unchecked
On the General Options -> Sources panel (first panel) make sure to select these post types. If they are not selected on that panel, they will appear as unchecked.2a. Removing border
On the Theme Options -> Vertical results panel, change the border style to “none” and the width to 0: http://i.imgur.com/o0lXedG.png
Additionally, set the box shadow to 0 as well, as in some themes it’s used to create a fake border.2b. Removing scrollbar
On the same panel change the “Results viewport” option to a high number like 100: http://i.imgur.com/1WlzlMQ.png
This will prevent the scrollbar to be generated.December 19, 2016 at 12:23 pm #11300jrvanstone

KeymasterHi Jack,
If I understand correctly, you only want results from a specific category. In this case, please check the following documentation chapters:
– Excluding and including results
– Include results from certain categories (or terms) onlyI believe the second one is what you are specifically looking for.
