KeymasterHi!
Thank you for the proper details, it helps me a lot!
I have looked through the products, but I could not find one that had a variation SKU set for testing, only the parent products had an SKU. Can you please point me to a variable product, where the variation SKU-s are defined? I will test those and check how it gets indexed.
Thank you very much!December 20, 2017 at 10:26 am #15914PoliSafety IT Department
ParticipantYes of course.
Variable product
The 3rd SKU variation (64-AA312) of the product above is listed in the wp_asp_index table in the database but it does not show up on the results.December 20, 2017 at 10:37 am #15915Ernest Marcinko
KeymasterThank you very much, that helped me a lot!
I have found and corrected the issue. The problem was, that there appears to be a bug with the custom post type filters. While it was set to invisible, it still was in effect, causing the problem. I have reset the post type filters to default, as it is not in use. I will of course make sure to fix this in the upcoming release.
Now it should very likely display variable results based on variable SKU-s. I hope this helps!

ParticipantWoderful! That fixed the issue!
Thank you very much for your immediate support and assistance. The issue is resolved.
One more question though…
Is there a way for the variation results to show the image of the main product?December 20, 2017 at 11:24 am #15928Ernest Marcinko
KeymasterYou are very welcome 🙂
I belive it may be possible with a custom code. Add this custom code to the functions.php in your theme/child theme directory (copy from line 3 only!). Before editing, please make sure to have a full site back-up just in case!
This worked for me, but I’m not sure if it works in every case though. It’s worth a try.

KeymasterOkay, will try then. Can you please check the FTP details? It does not seem to work for me, I’m getting an authentication error. Let me know if I need to use SFTP or any special configuration as well.

KeymasterHi,
Thanks, the problem was that in the login name there was an ‘r’ within the domain name, so it didn’t allow login. With the correct username it worked.
I have added this code to the theme functions.php file, and it appears to be working. I have tried the 64-AA312 the search phrase. The problem might have been that the cache was enabled, and it was displaying the cached results without the image. It should be okay now, I guess.
