It depends on the exact situation, but basically you are looking for this one option here.
From there, simply use the Front-end search settings panel to create the filters you need.
On those examples I use a page builder to create sections, on the left side I simply use the search shortcode, on the right side I use the results shortcode for that search bar – that separates makes it possible to move the results to a different position.
