ParticipantI would like to show mixed search results in the dropdown, which means:
if I search for “כריתת שד”, then it should should the post called “כריתת שד” first, even though.
Please note that I have disabled grouping by post type, but it still orders the results by post types and not by relevance.I would like the search results to be ordered by relevance and the title to have to most weight, so that if I search for a term, a post with the exact same title as the term should be first in the search results.
Thanks.

KeymasterHi,
By default those items should have higher relevancy for sure, and should be displayed first.
Make sure to check the following options:
– The post type ordering is disabled: https://i.imgur.com/gpSQSTl.png
– The primary ordering is indeed relevance: https://i.imgur.com/wNezC0w.png
– The relevance is not disabled: https://i.imgur.com/8cwPOLq.pngMay 16, 2018 at 2:05 pm #17886vobs
ParticipantThank you for your reply. These options are the same exactly in my site.
I can see the issue – it is displaying posts, that belong to a different post type, first, and only after that the most relevant post.
Which means that even though it is not displaying the group headers, it is still grouping.
Is there another option that should be set?May 16, 2018 at 2:18 pm #17888Ernest Marcinko
KeymasterHi,
These should do the trick, I don’t see the grouping active. Are you using the most recent version of the plug-in (4.13)?
There was a change in the relevance calculation from version 4.12. If you have 4.11.x, then it might explain it.May 16, 2018 at 2:23 pm #17890vobs

KeymasterHi,
The options seem okay, this is indeed something strange.
Can you please also add temporary FTP access, so I can debug the results, to see what exactly is happening there? Something seems to be tempering with the ordering, or somehow the relevance values are incorrect.
Thank you!

Participanthi.
Thank you.
It is a live site.
Which sections would you like to have ftp access to?May 22, 2018 at 4:45 pm #17979Ernest Marcinko
KeymasterHi,
I think only the plugin folder is enough: wp-content/plugins/ajax-search-pro/

ParticipantHi.
Did you see something that is causing the problem in the files?
Thanks.May 30, 2018 at 1:15 pm #18076Ernest Marcinko
KeymasterHi,
Thank you very much!
The FTP details work, but I cannot access the site back-end at the moment. I might have been locked out by your firewall I am not sure.
Anyways, I think I know what the issue is. I forgot to check one option previously, that could cause the mixed up order. Can you please check if this is turned off: https://i.imgur.com/hnWenVU.png
I have not yet changed anything, just checked if the FTP details work. If this option is enabled, then make sure to disable it, it will solve it for sure, and then I won’t have to use the FTP details at all.

ParticipantHi Ernest.
Thank you!
This seems to do the trick. I will check further, and let you know if we have issues.
Thank you very much for your help! -
