Can this plugin use categories as options to filter searches? For example, I want to search for speakers that are in the following post categories: Country = US, Language = English, Price = $5,000 – $10,000 – the category selection would be based on check boxes so the flow would be:
Check box for Country options > check box for Language options > check box for Price = and after i click search button return matched results on the search result page.
can this plugin do it?

Well, dynamic filters are not possible yet – so one filter selection cannot affect another filter values, etc.. You should be able to find all the information regarding the taxonomy term based filters within this documentation: Taxonomy Term filters documentation
