ParticipantHello Support,
I’ve been using your plugin for a while now and I’m really happy with it.
However I notice something strange.
When I search for a SKU it will find most products. But somehow if I search form SKU’s in a certain product category, it shows no results.
I have indexed the site completely so that shouldn’t be an issue.For example, if you search for products within our “printer supplies” category, it will find products;
For example: E1520111030020 or ST30130060But the following product categories show no results when searching for SKU’s, while the products do exist:
– ReLINE products (for example: RL74060050 or RL814015075)
– Pikt-o-norm products (for example: PN321A.09 or PN1532.15)It could be a simple setting somewhere but I’ve searched all over and couldn’t find it.
Your help is highly appreciated!Kind regards,

KeymasterHi Alain,
Thank you for the details!
I have checked the configuration, mostly it seems to be all right. Once thing I noticed, that on the Advanced Options -> Exclude/include results panel, you have two categories excluded: https://i.imgur.com/Tq1LIii.png
The missing Pikt-o-norm products might be due to that. If you remove the exclusions, that should resolve that.The issue with RL74060050 and the other SKU is more interesting. I investigated the product RL74060050 more closely. Everything was set correctly, so I suspected the SKU might not be indexed. I opened the product editor screen, hit the Update button, and it immediately started working.
This usually happens, when the products were either imported by a 3rd party tool, which does not trigger the “save_post” or other actions to notify WordPress about the change, or the product maybe changed via the database, or the hook does not go off after saving. If you use any 3d party editing tools, that might explain that.
I suspect, if you open the other product RL814015075 and save it, it will appear in the results.If you notice an increasing number missing products, or importing bulk number of products, I recommend fully recreating the index, that should do the trick.

KeymasterWell, if you can run an update on the whole category, then it is probably better. You have a lot of products, re-indexing could take some time. If that is okay for you, then you should re-index instead, it is definitely easier 🙂

ParticipantHi Ernest,
FYI I removed unwanted exclusions and ran a whole new index – works like a charm now!
Many thanks again for your support.Regards,
