Hi,
Today I bought this plugin through theme forest because my client needs a private search engine for pdf files that will be hosted in the media tab.The file can only be viewed when the user has correctly entered the search term.
As they are checking private reports for the validation of precious stones, these documents cannot be visible to the public, only those who receive the printed document with the corresponding number.
I can’t find a way to do this, and it’s the only reason I bought this plugin.

I need a bit more information for this, as in wordpress there are no media attachment restrictions by default.
– Do the users should have access to a specific set of attachments only?
– How is this restriction implemented? (plugin, custom code, theme etc..)
– Is there an API documentation to a function to programmatically check if a user has access to a specific document?
With an API I should be able to recommend a possible custom code to remove matches to which the user does not have access to.I do not have an API for this, my intention is to be able to solve my need with your plugin.
The only thing I need is that it does not show me suggested files in PDF format while the user types in the search engine.
can you help me please.

It is not what I need, but thanks for that clarification, it works the same way.
What I need is that the search engine does not show me suggested files when I start to write in it, that it ONLY show me the file when I write the word completely, in this way, I prevent users from seeing that there are other files similar to the one They are looking for.
For example, if I have two files whose name begins with car, but the name at the end is car-red-02.pdf and the other is car-green-02.pdf I am not interested in that when I write the word car, automatically show me the two files, ONLY when I write the one I am looking for.
This is because the files I am looking for are private and can only be seen by those who have the exact word with which they are going to look for them to verify that they exist within their official registry.

Well, I’m not sure if there is a way to make any search work like that. I can suggest a possible direct modification to the attachment search file, to allow only fully exact matches on the file name:
1. Make sure to have a full site back-up
2. Open up the .. file on your server
3. Replace it’s contents with this
4. Save the file
5. On the attachment search, I recommend this configuration: https://i.imgur.com/fxfhDlt.pngThat should do only a completely exact field match on the file title. If you need help with the change, you can add temporary FTP details, and I will do it for you.
