My small museum has many images and documents loaded onto Google Drive. Can this plugin also search outside of a WordPress website, i.e. can it search Google Drive, from a WordPress website?
By the way, there is a typo here, should be “online” — see image.

Unfortunately no, the plugin is designed for WordPress type of content only. Usually the best course of action for external files is to register them in the media library. That information is then stored within wordpress, and the plugin will be able to access at least that.
There are probably plugins capable of doing such import.
