    Hi,

I set up a search in ACF. But not found any title. The name of the acf field is “books” and the list of items is:
    001 : title a
    002 : title b
    etc…

It does not search in acf, even though it is set. Based on an unknown idea, I did not enter the title of the book, but the name of the acf variable. And we already have the result.

When I enter the title in the search engine, there are no results.
When I enter the acf id the results appear. (although they may not be good)

Am I messing something up or is this not prepared for this?

    Best regards,
    Tamás Szekers

    Hi,

First I would recommend trying the index table engine. That can fetch the field data, not only the references.

Is this by any chance some sort of a repeater field? Those are not really indexable, because the fileds are dynamic. But let me know, I may be able to suggest something for those as well.

    Hi,

No, its not repeater field. This is a simple list.
I switched to “Index table engine”. Added te custom field, make a new index, but it didn’t get better. Yes I try to ‘(konyha’ too :).
Can I view the indexed table?

    Best regard, Tamás

May I check this configuration somewhere? That should work just fine.
I may also need temporary FTP acces, just in case there is indeed a plugin issue – I may be able to correct it right there.

    My bad, I am sorry.

I could not find the “book” custom field, but I guess the “szerkeszto” is the one you are reffering to. I have tried a few phrases, from that field, but everything seemed to be okay. For example: https://i.imgur.com/Ua3lYQW.png
Those results seem to be matched via that field.

Indeed, there is definitely something wrong there – I am guessing for multiselect values, something is mixed up.

Can you please check the FTP access? I have tried, and logged in, but I am directed to an empty directory and can’t do anything. I will have to manually debug the index process to see what exactly is fetched from the field values, and then correct it accordingly.

Unfortunately I am getting the same error as before, I tried multiple clients:
    WinSCP, then permission error
Total Commander, also permission error, not listing directories
Same permission error for Notepad++ and PsPad as well. I can connect, but no permission to view the files.

In the meantime I may have located an issue, which can be related to this one. If you can make file edits, then I may not need access this time. Please follow these steps:
    – Open the wp-content/plugins/ajax-search-pro/includes/classes/Index/Manager.php file on your server via FTP
    – Replace it’s contents with this
    – Create a new index
Then check if that made any change in the search.
