ParticipantHi,
I have a WordPress/Woocommerce page based on Oxygen Builder.
Ajax Pro should replace the standard search engines on the page.
It works well when using the regular engine as a base. I search for e.g. “CD 4” and all the sample products ( CD 470, CD 471, CD 473, CD 474) are shown. As I want to enable the possibility to search for Product names without a space, as well, e.g. “CD4” I assume I need to use the table engine and define synonyms for each product. When switching to the table engine and testing the search function, the result list shows no products any longer. It shows posts instead. I followed the video instructions for the table engine, but the result does not change.
Not sure what goes wrong.
Why are the products not shown.
I would appreciate any help, as I plan to use the plugin on a second Woocommerce page.
Thanks!

KeymasterHi Andreas,
The most likely issue is that the product post type is not selected to be indexed or the product post type is not selected on the search instance panel (or both).
I suggest chekcing that first, it is very likely to be the problem. You are correct about the synonyms there, it is the easiest way to define additional keywords to match generally for all the products.

ParticipantHi Ernest ,
thanks for your answer.
I checked and the post type Product is selected in both instances. Please see attached images.//Andreas

KeymasterThank you very much Andreas.
I believe it is going to be the Polylang compatibility. If the items are not yet translated, they are excluded by default. You can turn off the Polylang compatibility here. That should resolve the issue.

ParticipantHi Ernest, thanks!
This made it work. I assume I will need to switch it back on, to limit the search to the active language when I translated the products.//Andreas

KeymasterExactly 🙂
If you don’t mind, I will close this topic soon and mark it as resolved, feel free to open another one if you have other questions or issues.
If you like the plugin and have not rated already, feel free to leave a rating on your codecanyon downloads page and on the wordpress plugin repository, it’s greatly appreciated.
