I am in the process of setting up a “knowledge centre” using your (fantastic) plugin…
I have set up a CPT UI taxonomy called “products” so i can link my articles to certain products (such as “numatic” or “sx2100”).
I was hoping to be able to use the main search bar, so when a customer would search for “henry hoover” that linked article would appear in the list (even if the text in the article doesn’t include “numatic”).
I can’t see a way of doing this, is it possible?
I’ve added the “products” taxonomy as a search term however it’s bringing up the actual term as a result (rather than the articles the products are tagged in).
You can see from the attached, the “numatic” product tag has 3 articles which have this tag, but the results are only showing 2 results… 1 where i’ve manually added the word “numatic” into the text on the page, and the other which is just showing the numatic tag.

Sure! Thank you for the details.
So, what you want is not this, make sure to turn that off. That is to return taxonomy terms as results, and you want the products by taxonomy terms.
For that just enable this option, it will do exactly what you expect.
