Hi!
You can actually move the results box to a different location using the results shortcode: Custom results box position
It is also possible to change the z-index values of both settings and results boxes: https://i.imgur.com/ypr3Jje.png
If you swap the two values, the results will hover over the settings box.
To open each result in a new window, just change this option: https://i.imgur.com/tjRJqE0.png
