Thank you for the response. I’m a little disappointed though, I would have assumed this was a core function. At this point, I cannot use standard wordpress categories as there is no way for the user to filter them. On the other hand, I cannot use search terms as categories as this would be terrible for SEO. Google will not index search result pages, I need actual categories.
Currently, if the user visits a category, they can only start an entirely new search and then filter those results. I want the user to be able to visit a category and filter the results within that category. I feel that’s a fairly standard feature for any website. A customer does not go into a category and do an entirely new search.
