1. I tried both chrome and firefox, but they look the same to me:

You may need to clear the browser cache to refresh the styling, that will probably resolve the issue.
2. Well, it is either stored in a different custom field – or the custom field does not actually contain the location name, but only coordinates (like geolocation).
If the geolocation is stored (coordinates), then entering the location name will not match anything, as meta field does not contain that information, only the reference to the coordinates.
3. You can maybe try switching to a more strict keyword logic: https://i.imgur.com/aWdu5Jr.png
If the keyword is however present somewhere on those pages, it is still possible they will match the query.
