How to handle a long list of filter like over 1000 tags

I am using your Ajax Search Pro. And I got a problem that my filter list is too long which doesn’t look user friendly. I added a category filter which has over 200 items. User need to scroll from the top of the filter list to the bottom to select or update the filter which is a bit hard to do it in the long list.

Is it able for me to customize the filter (checkbox style) to support search in the filter? I want to do something similar to the following link:

Please check the skill filter. It is a search box with auto-suggest. And when you click on the auto-suggest, it will add the filter to the top.

Hi!

Unfortunately there is no easy modification for that – that feature requires a specific HTML layout as well as a custom script that would do the search.

For now, the best solution is probably to switch from the checkbox layout to a drop-down layout instead: https://i.imgur.com/ljWlfRt.png

In a future release, the following solution is going to be implemented: https://harvesthq.github.io/chosen/
It’s already under testing, I’m hoping to use this as soon as possible.

I’m hoping to push the next update by the end of this week or the start of the next one. Depending on how fast codecanyon approves the update. If I can’t make it to this one, then the next one for sure, that is another 3 weeks I would say.

Unless there are unexpected complications, this should be available in the upcoming release, thus within a week.
