Ever since moving Ajax Search Pro onto an off-canvas sidebar, we’ve noticed that wheel scrolling appears to be disabled in the search results, requiring users to use the scrolling bar.
We are experiencing this issue in chromium based browsers (Opera, Google Chrome, Edge) but not in Firefox (in the Nightly).
I did a search of the support tickets and found the functions.php code you offered here, however after adding the code and clearing the cache this remains a problem for us.

The issue is caused by a 3rd party script – which freezes the body scroll whenever the menu is enabled: https://i.imgur.com/z9aur8K.png
Either removing that event handler, or by changing it somehow to not to apply on the search results will resolve the issue.
