I found the issue. The result priorities are customized, and that includes the world war I and world war II articles as well: https://i.imgur.com/Jf49gu0.png
Priorities override everything, even if the results have the highest relevance, they are automatically reordered based on priority values first. If you change them back to the default 100, it will resolve the problem.
