It is very likely only a misconfiguration. Unfortunately I can’t see to much from the front-end, all I can tell is that the “page” post type is selected to look for.
If you would choose only to search the page where the search is on, then it would only return that single page as result – a single results every time, nothing else. I am not sure if that is what you are looking for?
