I was wondering if there was a faster way to create multiple search forms besides manually filling out the settings for each new form created again and again. Each form would have almost identical settings, and it would be a lot easier and less error prone for me to just duplicate an existing search form and then go back and change the few settings that needed to be changed. Is there any way I can do that or am I stuck?
1. Hover you mouse over the search instance and 2 icons will appear (first is for renaming, second for ducplicating), click on the second one: http://i.imgur.com/mAajIcw.png
2. Or you can use the Export/Import submenu to export the search instance, then import it.
Thanks for responding, Ernest, but when I hover over the search instance I’m not getting those options. I tried this in both Firefox and Chrome and nothing is showing. Also, I can’t find the Export/Import submenu. Please advise.
I suppose you are using plugin version 3.5. These are only available in plugin version 4.0. If you update your plugin to 4.0, these options will be available. You can donwload it from codecanyon.
Please follow the safe update steps from the documentation or the knowledge base, to make sure everything goes smoothly.
OK, it looks like I’ve upgraded successfully and those functions are working really well. Thanks so much! One thing I did notice when I upgraded is that the category settings were reset to default so I had to set them again. Otherwise no complaints. Thanks again.
