    Hi Anne,

It is a known bug with version 4.9.0 which I already fixed in the recent version (4.9.1).

You don’t have to update, I’ve applied the fixed code to your server directly. To exclude posts by categories, use the Advanced Options -> Exclude results panel and the Exclude posts by categories option: https://i.imgur.com/C3Zb4Q7.png

    Hello Ernest,
I have another problem with the plugin.
In the checkbox mode, the respect of the hierarchy is kept only for the first category and not for the others.

Could you please help me ?

    Thanks
    Anne

    Hi Anne,

I think I have found the problem. Can you please check if it’s correct now, and let me know if it doesn’t work correctly?

I’ve added this to the issue tracker as well, will be fixed after testing for the upcoming release.

    Hi!

I’ts most likely because the category logic by default respects a rule, where “all categories should match from the selected set” in order to give you a result. In most cases this logic is the best, but you might want to change it.

You can change this logic on the Frontend search settings -> Advanced Panel: https://i.imgur.com/oFG672P.png
