Thank you for the proper details, it helped a lot!
The issue was, that you had the portfolio categories and tags selected as results. So the plugin was not returning the portfolio, but that tags and categories as configured. However the filter does not affect those. I have disabled those as results, and selected the Portfolio custom post type: https://i.imgur.com/CTlm3Sx.png
Now it should return the results.
