The results list (layout) on the search results page is fully controlled by the theme you are using. You might need to check your theme options to allow images there. The plugin can only pass the results to the results page, then the results page processes the items.
The filters by default work in an ‘AND’ logic – so any of the selected filters must match consecutively. When creating the custom field filters, you need to make sure about 3 major things:
– The correct custom field is used
– The values listed in the selections are correct
– ..and the correct operator is used
