I think I managed to add a quickfix for the visible shortcodes, I will include it in the upcoming release. That should be fine now.
The ‘connection error’ issue, I am not sure about that one. You can leave the custom ajax handler in use, you would have noticed if there was any problems by now 🙂
If you want, you can add a temporary user level access as well, and I can try to log-in and try replicate the issue with it. If it is anything related to the plugin, I should be able to find it. It could take some time though.
