The plugin was not doing that for sure, as there is no such feature available. The exceptions are Elementor Posts and Product widget filters, and the live results page. In your case I am seeing a visual composer built page, which is not possible to filter.
You may have had a different filter plugin active there, or perhaps there was a customization made to it.
