There is a knowledge-base article describing a possibility to add an add-to-cart button to vertical and horizontal results: https://goo.gl/pVye7e
That should hopefully help.Unfortunately it’s not universal, and it might not work. Because of that it’s not yet planned, as many themes use a different approach and it’s nearly impossible to make it compatible with everything.
