ajax search pro not installing

I am trying to install ajax search pro but I geth this message every time.

“The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini.”
why is this? and how can it be fixed?

Hi,

That means, that your server does not allow uplading files exceeding a certain size. You will either have to manually upload the plugin via FTP – which I would not recommend if avoidable – or contact your server administrator to increase the allowed file size in the PHP configuration.
The plugin installer is very small, around 2.5 MB only, so 4MB or 8MB allowance should be more than enough.
