“Index PDF file contents” is greyed out and I cannot figure out how to activate it.
June 18, 2019 at 3:20 pm #23187Hi,
You can find all the step-by-step information about document content indexing here, in this documentation.
I believe you are probably missing the pdf mime type from the list of document types to index: https://i.imgur.com/y6uiKUM.png
Best,
That should do the trick.

June 20, 2019 at 4:02 pm #23211Hello,
I followed the doc and got further along. However, my search still does not return content results from inside pdf. please advise.

Well, it is very hard to tell only from screenshots, but if the contents are indexed, then I suspect that the General Options -> Attachments panel may not have the index table engine enabled: https://i.imgur.com/YIh7bGE.png

June 24, 2019 at 9:07 am #23248Hi,
Thank you, I can log-in now.
The file contents does not seem to be indexed. I suspect that the script might not have permissions to open the files, as the keywords count appears to be only the file titles.
Best,
I cannot confirm that unfortunately, as the plugin editor does not let me change the plugin files either. Can you please add temporary FTP access as well? I would like to debug the code to see if the files get opened in the first place. I can then try to force the permissions programatically, but it might have to be set manually via cPanel or via SSH.
