Ajax Search Pro Settings within Category

Hello,

I have set up replacement part categories which I have embedded tables into such as this…

I need to add the ability to enter part numbers into the AjaxSearch Pro field as I do on products, such as this…

However, my category looks like this without the Ajax Search Pro setting field …

Hi Craig,

The custom keywords meta box is only available for custom post types, not for taxonomy terms (at least not yet). I am not sure if this would work, but if you can somehow add term meta fields to the taxonomy, then you could use it to store this information as well (similarly as the post meta box).

ACF plugin is capable of creating term meta fields, which then you can use on the taxonomy editor.
Then, on the plugin back-end, you can enable the search in term meta option, and this field will be used, when looking for taxonomy term results.

Hi Craig,

The problem is, that you don’t have the product categories selected to be returned as results. Make sure to select it under the General Options -> Sources 2 panel: https://i.imgur.com/ckJbtf3.png
After that, the product categories will be returned based on that meta.

That did it. Thanks!!! I get the standard settings verse table index settings mixed up. It’s working now though 🙂
