Hi,
On my page, I use both search form and category filter. To save screen area for other content, I want to make the search form more compacted. Do we have a way to move Category filter to be in-line with search form as in the picture below?

You could try using a custom shortcode via the shortcode builder, instead of the ones you have now. Maybe something like this:
[wd_asp elements='search,settings' ratio='50%,50%' id=5]
