Buddy press groups

Dear madam, sir,

How can I enable search results for Buddypress groups as well? Do I need to do something special.

1. I created a search box
2. I created an index with blogposts, pages en groups (is that Buddypress?)
3. I added widget in rightside (pops up in my buddypress, chivo.nl/connect)

Yet, I cannot search anything from buddypress or the groups
What am I missing?

Dear Chi,

BuddyPress content are no stored as custom post types, the related setting you can find under the Search Sources -> BuddyPress panel.

Thank you Ernest, that was very helpful. I do have a follow-up question. I activated buddypress group search, public, private and even hidden. They however do not show up in de search results. Any advise?

I may have to take a look at the issue directly – can you please add temporary log-in and FTP access details? I will check the configuration, do a few tests and debug the code if neccessary.

I looked at the groups now and tried a few, but they seem to appear as well.
