I have created a search on custom post type “Topic” – from LearnDash plugin.
The CPT use WordPress categories. I have set these as checkboxes on the search front end.
But the search results show at the top a listing of the Categories for other CPT – Courses and Lessons – in LearnDash. The results I want are then underneath.
You can see this in the short video link: Video
How can I stop the listing of categories?
Also is it possible to NOT show the checkboxes for Search in Content, Title, Excerpt etc – but SHOW the date picker?
thanks for your help
best wishes
Paul

On the General Options -> Sources 2 panel, make sure there is nothing selected: https://i.imgur.com/vff30Uf.png
You may have selected some taxonomies there to be returned. To edit the generic selectors, go to the Frontend Search Settings -> General panel: https://i.imgur.com/sPqALT1.png
..the date filters can be configured under the same panel, under the Date filters subpanel: https://i.imgur.com/HiMoqcw.pngI hope this helps!
