(Ernest’s email address is connected to this temp account. The account will be deleted after we fix our issues.)

    Greetings, Ernest:

We want to use the Ajax Pro Search to search for ONLY the following parameters:

CC Keywords found in header meta fields of each page. (I have attached an example of how the cc words are in the header fields.)

We want ALL other search parameters turned off. The search must come from the CC keywords only.

We will set up the AND function.

We do not want the message “Did you mean…” to come up, either.

How do I set this up? Thanks for your help.

    – Hank

    Hi Hank,

It depends on how these keywords are exactly stored – from the screenshot I am guessing that is a custom field (post meta)?
On the plugin General Options -> Sources panel you can disable all fields to search, and choose the corresponding custom field that contains this string: https://i.imgur.com/HHtpiIV.png

Under the Autocomplete & Suggestions panel you can disable both the autocomplete and the keyword suggestions (did you mean):
    – Autocomplete: https://i.imgur.com/f8BRC6U.png
    – KW Suggestions: https://i.imgur.com/Yu9TAPA.png

    Related documentation for more info:
    Search in custom fields
    Autocomplete and Keyword suggestions

    I hope this helps!

But of those custom fields I can choose to search, do any of them correspond to the header code area? Those custom field names all look like Greek to me.

I honestly don’t know, that section is not default to WordPress.

Try searching ‘head’ or ‘header’, it may return something relevant. I tried to log-in to the back-end with the details, to check it, but the username/password combo does not seem to work. Can you please check it? Thank you!

Try again: I have reset the password to Code-Canyon 1. I just tried this combination and it works.

I will be out of the office for several hours and will check in again in mid-afternoon. Thanks for all your help.

    CORRECTION!!!!!

    Your password is Code-Canyon1

No space. The one in the last message was a typo.

Thank you very much Hank, that works now.

I have found the custom field storing those keywords, it is called ‘per-page-ath-content’: https://i.imgur.com/7dyNyAy.png
I have selected that field only as the search source field, and also set up the search logic to AND. It should return the results based on that field now.

    It’s working beautifully now. Thanks!

    One last question (for now).

Is there a way to change the color of the search bar. The red is a bit too “powerful.”

    Thanks.

    Hi Hank,

Sure, on the Theme Options panel you can change almost every aspect of the layout: https://i.imgur.com/OgGZSj0.png
You can try out some of the built in themes as well: https://i.imgur.com/sEZG52e.png

With the current setup, you are probably looking to change these colors:
    – Overall box layout color: https://i.imgur.com/NH5xg9S.png
    – Input field color (same as the box): https://i.imgur.com/wgPlVNx.png
    – Magnifier background: https://i.imgur.com/CTB2Y2y.png
    – Vertical results background: https://i.imgur.com/MutM9Gn.png

The only instance I can find for General Options is on the Index Table page. Otherwise, I can’t find the General Options tab to take me to the choices of Theme Options.

    What am I missing?

Is it because I am in Safari that I don’t see the options you are describing. I still have not found how to affect the color on the Search box.

    Hi Hank,

Try chrome without any add-ons active, that works usually the best.

The box color can be affected by these two options:
    – Overall box layout color: https://i.imgur.com/NH5xg9S.png
    – Input field color (same as the box): https://i.imgur.com/wgPlVNx.png

Sometimes the input field color covers the whole box, if the margin low, so changing that will actually change the box color as well.

    Ernest Marcinko
