I can’t seem to be able to save my settings on the Ajax Search Pro. I’ve followed what you suggested in your FAQ under the page, http://codecanyon.net/item/ajax-search-pro-for-wordpress/3357410/support. However Hostgator, where my website is hosted does not allow the change of the file permissions to 777. It’s set at default of 755 and I believe this is also acceptable according to another question you answered about 3 months ago (http://codecanyon.net/item/ajax-search-pro-for-wordpress/discussion/3357410).
Could you kindly have a look and see what the problem is?
Many thanks!September 2, 2013 at 11:40 am #656
As soon as I deactivated quick cache it started to work. I checked the plugin and the caching was deactivated, however it remained active somehow. I have tried to clear the cache but nothing happened, so I deactivated it. Then I made changed to the search plugin, activated caching again, cleared the cache and everything was normal.
Perhaps it’s a bug somewhere in the caching system, or an incompatibility with plugins, I’m not sure. I suppose you should deactivate the cache plugin until you configure the search and other plugins, and switch it back on when you finished.Best,
