I understand AJAX is javascript based.

    I had interpreted the

Can I also use it as a simple search engine without ajax?
YES you can. Using ajax is not mandatory.

to mean most of the functionality would work as per a normal form submission but I am struggling to manage that. Could you perhaps provide a list of what features (string search, frontend filters etc.) will work if a user has javascript disabled?

    Many thanks,

    Hi,

Without javascript nothing will work – it is the core part of the plugin. By that sentence I meant, that the “live” search feature is not mandatory to use, it can be switched off, so the plugin acts as a simple search bar, redirecting to the results page. However without javascript the plugin will not function.

    Best,
