Hi, My hosting providers send me an email that they have updated their server to php version 7.2 and they said that your site is not compatible because Ajax search Pro plugin does not support php 7.2 so ask your plugin developer for help.
Please upgrade the php version so I can use the plugin on the updated server.
Thank YouMay 16, 2019 at 7:59 am #22693Ernest MarcinkoKeymasterHi,
The plugin is fully compatible with PHP 7.2, in fact this server, all our test servers as well as the demo server (ajaxsearchpro.com) is running on PHP 7.2. Let me know if they shared any details about this.
May 16, 2019 at 10:33 am #22702MelbournParticipantOk I will ask them again.
Also there is an issue with the form.
The Gender and name of Artist is preselected now, so the search by keyword function is not working.
Can you please make it like it was earlier?
Thank YouMay 16, 2019 at 12:03 pm #22704Ernest MarcinkoKeymasterHi,
Let me know if there are any specifics. The issue with the filters was, that the select value was missing for the ‘Choose one’ option. I have corrected that: https://i.imgur.com/BY9AC2U.png
May 16, 2019 at 7:04 pm #22725MelbournParticipantAs you can see the search function is not working.
For example try to search for “David”
It will not show his profile.
Why this issue comes, again and again, the same issue for which I complained earlier
Please checkMay 17, 2019 at 8:29 am #22731Ernest MarcinkoKeymasterHi,
Because if you are keep changing the configuration it will break. This here is not correct, if you want an empty value, use this instead. I have corrected this for you.
May 17, 2019 at 10:39 am #22733MelbournParticipantOk When I click on a artists name from Artist by name then it shows multiple artists.
For example i click on “Bob Knowles” and it shows more artists along with it.
Please checkMay 17, 2019 at 11:44 am #22737Ernest MarcinkoKeymasterHi,
It displays those, who does not have the artist name custom field set. It happens because you enabled this option. Make sure to turn it off, and it should resolve it.
Please note that in this case all 3 custom field filters must be set on all results, because if either the artist name, gender or the age is missing, the result is automatically excluded – as missing results are not allowed when that option is active.May 17, 2019 at 1:47 pm #22742MelbournParticipantThere is an issue, when I type their info into the custom fields and save then the page refresh and the details I fill is gone, so what is the reason behind it”?
For example you can check this artist

The plugin has no effect on that unfortunately. You might have to check with the custom fields plugin author. Some browser extensions (input validation tools) may also affect that.
May 17, 2019 at 7:58 pm #22746MelbournParticipantThe same issue happened ealier when the plugin updated last time and now after updating again the same issue cause. I forgot how we fixed it but it was working fine before plugin update.
May 17, 2019 at 8:16 pm #22747MelbournParticipantis there any better option to search artists without custom fields? can we just search them using categories and post titles? if yes then what will be the difference?
May 20, 2019 at 12:27 pm #22755Ernest MarcinkoKeymasterHi,
Well you can search by their title, however it is not possible to filter by the title field. The main difference is then, that the artist title filter would not be available.
May 20, 2019 at 10:22 pm #22766MelbournParticipantWell, I was able to fix it by just allowing it to search missing fields into the artists custom post types. Now it seems to be working fine.
