    Hi Ernest,

I’m using the image crop feature to crop some badly shaped featured images. However, instead of cropping, the images just don’t appear. See screenshot: http://prntscr.com/jtzh5s

Any ideas? When and where does the cropping take place?

    Best Regards,
    Kyle

    Hi Kyle!

If you disable the cropping, does it work? I am curious if it is the image cropping script issue, or if the images are not found for some reason.

    Hi Ernest,

Yes the definitely do, I double checked. It’s only the images that don’t fit the dimensions i set in the backend that don’t show. They were usually too tall before activating the cropping.

    Kind Regards,
    Kyle

    Hi Kyle,

I think I managed to adjust it correctly. The image width and height was set too high, so somehow the cropping script was not able to deal with too small images relative to that.
I have set the final size to 550×300, the script will try to crop the items to this maximum dimension set – leaving the height in almost every case at 300 pixels max.

Any chance you can get the cropping ratio to keep these all in line? See the image attached, the images I wanted to crop are still taller than the rest.

    Hi!

Try to reduce the image heigh to 280 or 270, that may do the trick, I think.

    Hey Ernest,

Sorry to bother you on this again.

The image cropping doesn’t seem to be working. Please see https://winnersguide.com (if you don’t see any images are are too big, hit refresh.)

I will include some FTP details in a reply shortly (once I get them from my server guy).

    Best regards
    Kyle

    Hi,

The FTP details were not working unfortunately, but I simply decided to turn off the BFI library alltogether. For some reason it does not work with smaller images as it should.

Now I am seeing properly cropped images, hopefully it stays that way.
