    Hi!

There are a few tips and tricks to improve the performance, please check the chapter 18.1 from the documentation.

If the default search bar is not replaced, it means that the theme is not using the “searchform.php” file to display the form, thus it’s only replaceable by editing the theme code.

To help you, I have logged in via the FTP details and looked for the search box code to replace. I have found it in the wp-content/themes/Couponize/header.php file on lines 115-148.
I have placed the search shortcode to line 113 in that file, in case you want to edit it. I have also soft-disabled the old search form by adding html comment tags to line 114 and 148.

If you want to re-enabled the old search, just remove the ajax search pro shortcode from line 113 and the HTML shortcode tags from line 114 and 148.

    Best,

    Hi!

It’s not possible to compare the two search speeds, as the default one is using an external paid search engine source for results (swifttype.com), and ajax search pro uses your server for searching. Swifttype is of course faster, as they have a dedicated search server, which users have to pay for monthly at a certain point.

I’ve put the plugin into a similar container element as the original search had and fixed the HTML code in header file as well, as if was incorrectly commented.

You can also enable a “search” button on the Theme Options -> Search Text Button panel: https://i.imgur.com/sFCvOFI.png

Yes, you are right, it was not sorting correctly. I did a debugging on my test environment and found the problem. I have of course corrected it on your server as well. It should display the correct order of matching results now.

    Hello Ernest,

I have disabled the Ajax search pro plugin as it was giving me the more problems in my site,
It is very slow to my site & found the site working slow.
its not working on navigation pages,
Get Coupon tab not working on all category pages
Stores tab near the search bar is not working on category pages

After using the autocomplete Free Plugin its seems to be work as per my expectation except the speed.

Can you please refund the full or partial amount. so i can buy the another compatible plugin for my site?

    Thanks
    Kailash

    Hi Kailash,

I’m sorry to hear that it’s not working out. Unfortunately sales is fully handled by codecanyon.net and I believe they have a very strong no-refund policy with a very very rare exceptions.

I have already went over my support duties to help you with integrating the search bar over the default one. I’m of course willing to help you with the upper mentioned problems if you decide to use the plugin anyways.

If you seek the fastest and most versatile live search plugin, then it’s probably swifttype. Although please note that their business pricing starts at over 200$ per month, but for that service I think it’s worth it.

    Ernest Marcinko
