ParticipantHi,
As new users of your Ajax Search Pro plugin we have a question.
We use the plugin with WordPress including custom fields, custom post types and the WPBakery Page Builder.
Our goal is to show the search results live and with a description context with the highlighted search text.Is there a way that the description context always shows the words around the search text?
It works mostly perfectly fine but if the search text is too far down on the page then the text from the top of the page is simply displayed and therefore there isnโt a highlighted search text.
Is there a way to correct this?
We tried to increase the number of characters in the setting โDisplay the description context?โ but it seems like there is a maximum number of characters defined? Thanks for your help in advance!

KeymasterHi Chris,
Yes – there is actually a maximum depth of 10 000 characterd, but fortunately it can be increased. Here, try increasing it to 99999: https://i.imgur.com/yhbsG23.png
It should very likely do the trick.March 20, 2024 at 10:56 am #47448chrigifrick
ParticipantHello
Thank you very much for the quick reply!
We have tried your solution, but unfortunately it doesn’t work either.Best,

KeymasterMaybe going even higher to like 999999?
As far as I see it’s not limited programmatically. It was in older versions, but it should accept any number. If still no luck, then it’s more likely the text is not actually there processed.
In that case you could try maybe this option as well, but it’s no guarantee.March 20, 2024 at 2:10 pm #47472chrigifrick
ParticipantWe already tried it with large numbers, but that didn’t work ๐
But you’re right that the problem lies with the shortcodes.
The problem only occurs with certain shortcodes, specifically those that don’t contain content directly, but generate content from custom post types.
We misunderstood the setting you linked to and have now adjusted it and it works as desired. ๐Thank you for the quick and great support! ๐
