In the “General Options” -> “Logic & Behavior” there is this line:

You can use the asp_redirect_url filter to add more variables. See this tutorial.

    However, that URL: http://wp-dreams.com/go/?to=kb-redirecturl
    does not work.

Please advise. I’m trying to get the “Search results PAGE” to look as good as the “Live Search” search results – with grouping and hit count.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

That URL should redirect you to this knowledge base page: https://knowledgebase.ajaxsearchpro.com/miscellaneous/tutorials/how-to-add-variables-to-the-redirect-to-url-or-the-show-more-url

Changing the search results page layout via plugins is not possible, it is fully controlled by the theme you are using. Some themes may have custom page builders integrated, or support for some page builder plugins – otherwise the only solution for customization is by custom coding it.

In trying the new link you just sent, I still get:

    Error 521 Ray ID: 614c4639ec95932e • 2021-01-20 22:36:26 UTC
    Web server is down

    That aside,

I might not be explaining myself well…

I’m not needing help or control in “styling”, but rather, when the person clicks the magnifying glass or hits ‘return’, they will expect to see the same results as they see in the “live search” drop down – but they don’t. They end up with an entirely different set of results, with no grouping. It makes the search seem broken. They get less functionality and less information when they hit “return”.

I will contact the hosting provider then, it works perfectly fine from all of our VPN bridges.

In that case, check the search override feature, that should resolve the difference in results.
