I need to filter the search results even by author. Is it possible to have a dropdown type filter by author?

I’m afraid it is not yet possible. This feature is however planned to be released within the next 3 updates if possible.

Hi,

I’m afraid not possible either. The author data is not stored as post meta, so neither the taxnomy nor the custom field filters would not work.

You can however search by user via the main search field, when using the index table engine, as it supports indexing the author names as well.
