ParticipantHello,
I have configured a plugin that shows variations as simple products: https://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-show-variations-as-single-products/25330620
But it doesn’t find any variation when searching, only the main product. When I use filters, it does work.
Is this something that I can fix with your plugin? I have enabled searching for “product_variation”: https://i.imgur.com/hXHzPIh.pngHere I have configured the search: https://bouwgroothandelshop.nl/shop/
Try for example searching for 6X100: https://i.imgur.com/vArX4Zq.png
As you can see, no results: https://i.imgur.com/naiFyq2.pngCan you please help me out? You can change any setting you want, the website is still in development.
Thanks in advance!November 6, 2023 at 8:22 pm #45912Erjen
ParticipantAnd by the way, the default search bar does find the variation: https://i.imgur.com/Ce9dyfS.png
So I think I am missing something here.November 7, 2023 at 9:56 am #45916Ernest Marcinko
KeymasterHi,
Thank you for the details!
If the regular results page shows the variation and the WooCoomerce results page does not, then it is very likely that it still does not allow it or somewhere along the way the plugins conflict, that is also possible.
I have tried to log-in with the details, but the username/password is not accepted, can you please check that?
Can you also please add temporary FTP details? I will try to figure out where the product variation parameter goes missing via editing the code.

ParticipantThank you for your response. User account is working now.
I don’t have FTP access, but I installed the “WP File Manager” plugin so that you can reach the underlying files. Does that work for you? Thanks in advance!

KeymasterWell, it is not the most secure, but it will do.
Please make sure to have a full site back-up so you can revert back in case anything goes wrong during the file editing. Let me know if you have one and I will try via that plugin.

ParticipantI understand. I have a full site backup.
Thanks!November 8, 2023 at 10:41 am #45928Ernest Marcinko
KeymasterGreat!
I did a quick debugging session, I think I found the culprit. It was the combination of elementor shop/products and a lost query argument. I have added a few lines to detect the variations and push it properly to the arguments list. It should be okay now.
I have also opened an issue on the public issue tracker and will resolve it soon so this change is reflected in the upcoming update.

KeymasterYou are very welcome 🙂
If you don’t mind, I will close this topic soon and mark it as resolved, feel free to open another one if you have other questions or issues.
If you like the plugin and have not rated already, feel free to leave a rating on your codecanyon downloads page and on the wordpress plugin repository, it’s greatly appreciated.
