ParticipantI want to have the review titles (“Loser, “Awesome”, “Good to work with” etc) hidden/excluded from final search results. How can I do so?

KeymasterHi,
If you wish to exclude items individuall, you can do so via this option: https://documentation.ajaxsearchpro.com/advanced-options/excluding-and-including-results/exclude-by-item-or-id

ParticipantHi,
I tried to exclude Title and ID but no results came up when I went to exclude them. Am I missing something?

KeymasterI am sorry, I don’t think I understand what you are trying to do here.
Do you want to basically not have those results in the results list? In that case, use the option I suggested (on your screenshot) and to the search field write the post title, and drag it to the right side, like this: https://i.imgur.com/FIt1TzK.png
In your case type “Loser” etc.. and exclude them there.February 3, 2022 at 3:03 pm #36545josephgardonis76
ParticipantSorry if I didn’t explain that clearly enough. What I am looking for is that the title for any of the reviews is not displayed in the results. That means any reviews current or future. That’s all. Not just a specific title of a review, but any review. Does that make sense?

KeymasterOkay, I understnad now.
If these rewiews are categorized in any way, you should be able to exclude them by categories/taxonomy terms. That is probably the best way of doing so, as it will exclude any future items as well, belonging to a certain category (or categories).

ParticipantThey’re not categorized in an particular way. They’re just from the Ultimate Reviews plugin.

KeymasterIn that case, it is probably a custom post type of some sort. Make sure that is not selected for searching under the General Options -> Sources panel. It’s name is probably something like “reviews” or similar.

ParticipantNow nothing I’m searching for is working by name, address or zip code. If you go tohttps://impactcustomerreviews.com/reviews/ you’ll see how the search bar says the search is supposed to work. How can I get it to work properly?
As for the review titles to not show up in the results, I’m wondering if this is something that needs to be done through CSS?

KeymasterYou can renew your support via the product page.
Okay, I have logged in to check your configuration.
Under the reviews post type, I am seeing three reviews: https://i.imgur.com/ZolPvxf.png
I suppose you don’t want those in the search results? In that case, under the general options -> sources panel, simply do not select the “Reviews” post type – only the ones you want to search for, for example Posts and Pages: https://i.imgur.com/01Cg0WE.pngCurrently, you have the Reviews post type selected, so the plugin will return the reviews as the results.
