Hi!
The highlighting on the results page cannot be affected by the plugin unfortunately. There might be 3rd party plugins that may work with some themes, but I am not sure which ones are the best for this purpose at the moment. This one was a really good solution, but due to the very larg amount of themes and different codings it may not work in some cases.
