    Hi,
I know i can change “Display background overlay” in “Compact box layout” setting.

    My question are:
How to “Display background overlay” in regular search box?

    My goal are:
When visitor click the “Search Box” the Background color overlay became “rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.6)”,
THEN when visitor click outside the search box OR “not focus on the search box” OR “Click the magnifier” then Background Color become normal.

Sorry for my English, i hope you understand.
    Thanks for your help.
    I really appreciated.

    Hi,

I’m afraid this is not possible out of the box, it has to be custom coded. The reason is, the search bar needs to be in a fixed CSS position to remove it from the document flow – then position a background layer on document root. This feature on compact box only works in fixed positions as well, it is specifically coded for that scenario only. That is not possible to easily replicate for the regular search box I am sorry.

    Best,
