ParticipantHello team,
I just bought the “Related Posts Pro for WordPress” plugin and finished to install. In our situation, I am using post categories and tags to link between posts. In the plugin screen, I see that can exclude the category in advanced tab, but where can I select “include” or “exclude” the specify tags ?
Please advice.

KeymasterHi,
I’m afraid that is not possible. If you want I can try to make a modification to the core code to somehow include the tags as well under the advanced panel, on the exclude taxonomy option, but I am not sure if it’s possible.
I will however need FTP and back-end access for that.September 27, 2019 at 4:44 pm #24142justinyuen48

KeymasterThank you, that worked. I made a minor modification to the plugin code. Now the post tags should show up on the list.

ParticipantHello Ernest Marcinko,
Thanks your help,
I tried to configure the [wpdreams_rpp id=1] and include the “Dress ID” as post tag , please refer
Configure screen in Advanced tab : http://prntscr.com/pe91qd
Result : http://prntscr.com/pe90jbIs it correct ? My logic is to show same “Dress ID” (CE0585) on the second box.
Please educate me.

KeymasterHi Justin,
Sorry, I must have missed your reply by accident.
On the configuration you have excluded every other tag. That means, if there are overlaps (any post in multiple tags), then all of those are excluded as well. I am not sure if that is possible what you need, as the dress ID is not a separate taxonomy, but a post tag among other tags.

ParticipantThanks Ernest,
In that screen http://prntscr.com/pguaws I included that categories (Left hand side) in top area, and included 4 TAGS in the “Select the taxonomy: Post-Tag” and exlcuded all other tags.
My thinking is showing that category AND some posts with that 4 tags.
Am I right ?

KeymasterWell, it looks correct – but if any of the matching posts are within any of the excluded categories or tags, then it will be also excluded.

ParticipantHello Ernest,
I understand your above logic, and not successful in my try and error testing.
I backed to normal situation and tried to use “Category” to filter : below is my case
Post1) selected 2 categories : M size & CAT1
In Related post pro, I remain the category CAT1 in left side and EXCLUDED all in right side. YES, I can see that CAT1 posts, but it also shows another “Page” records. Can you advice how to exclude type = PAGE (in wordpress left menu) ?
Regards

KeymasterHi Justin,
Make sure that the Return pages option is not enabled here: https://i.imgur.com/vsqbepx.png
