I am copying this idea on this website ( i attached it below for private reasons)
My site live searches the teams. however now i need a button that will create a filter when clicked to pull up the donation for that team see the link i sent where they do this- it seems like it can be done but i am struggling how to set it up- can you help me to see how to achieve this?
(we need a button when you click it, it will auto search the donation from the backend and produce the results in a result box.)
Thanks

Well, you can take a look at perhaps the search button, if that is what you are looking for.

May 27, 2020 at 2:47 pm #27604Can you please explain? Do you want to use the search on the back-end? That is not possible I’m afraid.

May 27, 2020 at 2:55 pm #27605I am not sure how to do this. i have donors right. but i need to map the right donors with the team( each team has a unique id ). I want a search button to filter through the donors for me.
May 27, 2020 at 2:57 pm #27606Are these donors a custom post type, or taxonomy terms or users or in a custom database? If in a custom database table, then it is not possibe to search them unfortunately.

May 28, 2020 at 8:01 am #27615Hi,
I think they might be the give_payment post type. Those does not link anywhere though, and dont have any related taxonomies either.
