    I need to use html in the titles of posts to control line breaks. Namely   That html shows in search results and looks very bad there. Please let me know how to hide it.

    My apologies, I just realized that this applies to a different plugin on this site. Ajax search for Woocommerce. I am using your plugin on 2 other sites. Sorry to bother you.
