I have a Search Box on the home page
[wpdreams_ajaxsearchpro id=1]Since I has very long number of post and also diferentes CPTs , its har for me to get the best results.
Example
– Search for “CASA” give me back some RESTAURANTS CPT in first positions .. that ok
– Search For “PLAYA DEN BOSSA” give me the PLAYA CPT in first position that OK
– Search For “USHUAIA” give me the SALA CPT in first position that’s OK .. and then same POST but not the NEW ONES …
– Search For “PACHA” give same POST but very old ones and NOT SHOW the SALAS CPT ” PACHA IBIZA” that should be the first oneI can’t find how to Order by Date ( new one first) and also if I use the post type order .. use the in every search .. give me a but result
Any Idea how to do it ?
thanksMarch 2, 2022 at 10:56 am #36973Hi,
You can try two different things:
Best,
1. Maybe exclude very old items from the search – if you don’t really want them. You can exclude by the date here: https://i.imgur.com/wqLPvE7.png
2. ..or change the primary ordering by the date descending: https://i.imgur.com/ahIC5xK.png

March 2, 2022 at 1:01 pm #36978I did al ready the option 2
But In the case of Pacha .. don show the lates Post .. nothing from 2022
and still have the problem with relevance .. how can I show first the SALAS post with its the most relevance ?
thanksMarch 2, 2022 at 4:18 pm #36989If you choose to show the latest posts first, then the plugin will show those – and not the most relevant. The date can not be counted into the relevance unfortunately.
I can’t tell why some items might be missing for “pacha” only from the front-end. It can be a misconfiguration or something similar. I tried to log-in with the back-end details, but I am getting a “User can’t find” error. Can you please check that?

March 9, 2022 at 1:22 pm #37125Okay, I have found the cause for those date ordering related problems. It is this priority group causing the problem: https://i.imgur.com/OdFyHLH.png
Everything in that category matching the query is prioritized over the more relevant matches. If you remove that group, the most recent items should be displayed first, as I have changed the orderig to date descending.

March 21, 2022 at 9:54 pm #37246Hi ,
I have been trying the searches with the PACHA works and looks like works good.. but If I try with a SAN JOSE word (name of an area) not show the latest POST ( native Wp post)
https://welcometoibiza.com/agenda-ibiza/actividades/fiestas-san-jose-ibiza/
this is a post form this week and not apearThe native post starts on page 8 and are too all
https://welcometoibiza.com/page/8/?s=san+jose&asp_active=1&p_asid=1&p_asp_data=1&customset%5B0%5D=page&customset%5B1%5D=lugar&customset%5B2%5D=playas&customset%5B3%5D=negocios&customset%5B4%5D=restaurante&customset%5B5%5D=salas&customset%5B6%5D=post&asp_gen%5B0%5D=excerpt&asp_gen%5B1%5D=content&asp_gen%5B2%5D=title&filters_initial=1&filters_changed=0&qtranslate_lang=0¤t_page_id=184453March 21, 2022 at 9:58 pm #37247I just see that not NEGOCIO cpt are show on. this search only Lugares, Playas, Restaurantes & post on this order
March 22, 2022 at 2:59 pm #37257I assume those are not from the “salas” post type?
If you have the “separate post type ordering” option enabled, try turning it off here: https://i.imgur.com/psSoD26.pngThat option will always “group” the post types as defined in the list. So even if you have more relevant results first, they will be reordered by the post type list.
