great tutorial, i have a few wierd behaviour when trying using this:

    1.custom field filter:
the drop down looks like ‘drop-up’ and a default parameter is selected instead of showing “type your search box”

    2. Tag filter not working at all:
i tired the tag filter instead, as shown in the tutorial but the setting just dosnt show up. its like its hidden no matter if the setting is on or off

here are some pictures for reference.

i really liked the “tag search filter by language” in the tutorial. i want that kind of search in my site for “city” search.
i don’t mind using custom field “city” or adding tags for city, i just want it to work and look good as in the example 🙂

sorry for the trouble and i appreciate the professional help

    Hi!

    1. In the custom field filter the value which is assigned wit the two stars ** is going to be selected by default from the list. That is basically an “empty” selection, you can edit the text of that as you need it.

    2. It is not showing because you don’t have any post tags created yet, see: https://i.imgur.com/Y4XLVjN.png
I guess the taxonomy something different for what you are looking for.

    2. In that case you are looking for these filters: https://i.imgur.com/9qDGVwv.png

Products use a different taxonomy 🙂
