ParticipantHi!. I have a problem in a single page of the ajax search pro plugin. In the setting page I cannot click on any options or buttons. What could be the problem? I am attaching a screen. Ivan

KeymasterHi Ivan,
That looks like the plugin javascript is not loaded properly. The most likely cause is, that a 3rd party plugin/theme or custom code is causing a major javascript error before the page can load, and it stops the plugin from loading.
Make sure to clear your browser first, to see if that changes anything. Then disable all plugins and switch the theme temporarily to see if the issue persists.
If so, then try reinstalling the plugin to make sure there is no missing files or other file related problems. Then, if still no luck, please add temporary FTP and back-end details, and I will check the error console.

KeymasterHi,
Thank you.
The php mbstring extension is not enabled on your server. A failed check caused the issue, I have corrected that.
It is not mandatory, but I still recommend enabling the php mbstring extension, as it is widely used across many plugins. It should be okay now.

KeymasterYou are very welcome 🙂
Well, you will have to contact the server administrator, if you don’t know how to do it via SSH access. I do not recommend doing it alone, if you are not experienced with server maintenance.
Here is a tutorial, but be careful with that.February 16, 2022 at 4:36 pm #36771Ivan Lapicirella
ParticipantYes I know but you have write that have correct it. I think that you have modify a file? If yes which files?

KeymasterYes – I modified the wp-content/plugins/ajax-search-pro/backend/settings/class/wd_mime_select.class.php file. It will be included in the upcoming release, you don’t have to worry about it.
